Laser Cleaning Applications
in Switzerland.

From graffiti and oxide layers to weld discoloration, molds, metal parts and full surface preparation: laser cleaning fits wherever sandblasting is too rough, chemicals are too invasive and water is simply in the way. This page gives you a tour of our main application fields and links to the dedicated detail pages.

Laser cleaning applications: before and after on real jobs

Drag the slider across. Three application fields, one process. A steel part covered in oxide, a stone wall sprayed with paint, a stainless weld with heat tint. The same pulsed fiber laser handles all three, with parameters tuned per job.

Overview

One process,
many application fields

In short: a pulsed fiber laser vaporizes the unwanted layer and leaves the underlying material intact. The same machine cleans stone, metal, composites and tooling, with parameters set per application.

Laser cleaning is not a single trick for one material. It is a tool box. We adjust pulse energy, frequency and scan speed so that the contamination vaporizes while the substrate stays cool. That tunability is what makes the same pulsed fiber laser useful on a sandstone wall covered in spray paint one day and a stainless steel weld with heat tint the next.

Across our customer base, laser cleaning shows up in many different application fields. In construction and heritage work, the topics are stone, brick, concrete and timber. In industry, the targets are oxide layers on steel and aluminum, weld discoloration on stainless components, and prep of surfaces before coating or further welding. In printing and packaging, the focus is on anilox rolls and molds. In garages and restoration shops, it is car parts, paintwork and rust on classic vehicles.

This page gathers the most common application fields with short descriptions and direct links to the dedicated detail pages. Each detail page shows typical jobs, materials we handle, and indicative processing times so you can quickly decide whether laser cleaning fits your project. If you are unsure which page best matches your case, send us a few photos and we will route you to the right one, usually within a working day.

Why laser

Why laser cleaning works across so many fields

Six points that hold whether we are standing in front of a church facade or in a packaging line. They explain why one mobile unit covers so many different jobs.
01

Substrate friendly

The laser removes only the defined layer. Stone, steel, aluminum, brass or timber keep their geometry and surface quality, no thinning, no rounding of edges.

02

No chemistry

No paint strippers, no acids, no solvents. Nothing to neutralize, nothing to wash off, nothing soaking into the substrate.

03

No grit, no slurry

No sand, no glass bead, no dry ice. No piles of spent media to dispose of, no protective covers needed for the surroundings.

04

Controlled and selective

Parameters tuned per material. We skip stamps, markings or original patches by simply not scanning them, no masking tape required.

05

Clean work area

Built-in extraction with HEPA filter. The dust is captured at the source, the floor stays clean, neighbouring workstations are not affected.

06

Mobile service

Equipment fits a van. Standard 230 V or 400 V outlet, optional generator. We bring the laser to the object, not the other way around.

Fields

Six core application fields

Tap the topic that matches your project to open the dedicated page with examples, materials and indicative processing times. Same hardware behind every field, just different parameters.
  • Graffiti removalPaint and tags off stone, concrete and metal.
  • Oxide removalHeat tint and oxide off stainless and aluminum.
  • Weld cleaningBright, passivated seams without pickling paste.
  • Mold cleaningRemove mold from porous surfaces, no biocides.
  • Metal parts and machineryDegrease and de-rust parts without dismantling.
  • Surface preparationClean, keyed surfaces ready for coating or bonding.
Materials

Materials we handle
across these applications

A short list of the materials we work with on a regular basis. Rarer alloys or particularly sensitive substrates are validated on a sample before the main job starts.
MaterialSuitabilityNote
Carbon steel and cast ironVery goodStructural parts, weldments, tools, automotive components. Rust, scale, paint, contamination.
Stainless steelVery goodWelded parts, food and pharma surfaces, decorative elements. Heat tint, oxide, light corrosion.
AluminumGoodBody panels, profiles, machined parts. Oxide layer, paint, anodized residue with adjusted pulse energy.
Stone, brick, concreteGoodFacades, sculptures, historic walls. Graffiti, soot, biological growth, old protective coatings.
Composites and toolingLimitedMolds and dies in injection, rubber and die casting. Release agents, polymer residue, scorch marks.
Copper, brass, bronzeVery goodRestoration items, decorative hardware, historic detail. Oxides and old protective layers removed gently.
Process

How a typical job runs

Whether it is a facade, an anilox roll or a classic car part, the workflow is similar. Five steps from first photo to sign-off, with a fixed quote and no surprise lines on the invoice.
01

Initial request

You send photos and a brief description through the form or via WhatsApp. We assign your case to one of the application fields and reply within 24 hours.

02

Assessment

We review material, contamination and access. If useful, we agree on a site visit or a free test cleaning on a sample piece before the main job.

03

Written quote

You receive a written fixed-price quote with all items broken out, plus lead time and expected on-site duration. No hidden charges, no hourly drift.

04

On-site work

We arrive with the mobile laser unit, set up in under an hour and start with a brief test patch. Then the main area is processed with monitored parameters.

05

Handover

Joint visual check, dust collected from the filter, area cleaned. Invoice issued with all items as quoted, photo documentation provided on request.

Mobile service

Mobile laser cleaning across applications

Our equipment fits on a trailer. We come to you, not your machines to us.

The mobile setup is what makes it realistic to cover so many different application fields. A facade cannot come to a workshop, an anilox cylinder is not worth shipping for a clean, a historic piece does not survive a transport. We arrive with the laser, the control unit, the extraction and all accessories in a van, plug into a 230 V or 400 V outlet, and bring a generator for outdoor sites without power.

Service area: all of Switzerland, with regular routes through Zurich, Bern, Basel, Lausanne, Geneva, Lugano and St. Gallen. More on the mobile service is available on the Industrial Laser Cleaning page.

Cost

How much does laser cleaning cost?

Pricing varies clearly between application fields, because material, layer thickness and access conditions differ.

Pricing varies clearly between application fields, because material, layer thickness and access conditions differ. We work with fixed-price quotes only. A detailed breakdown of pricing factors is available on the Laser Cleaning Price page.

Common questions

Questions on
laser cleaning applications

The most common questions from the first conversation. More questions anytime via WhatsApp.
Anywhere the contamination must go but the substrate must remain intact. Classic cases: graffiti, oxides, welds, molds, industrial parts, surface prep. When sandblasting, chemical stripping or water-based methods are not a good fit, the laser is usually the right choice.
