A working before/after log

Every job we run gets photographed twice - once when we arrive, once when the surface is signed off. Below is a working selection of those pairs: drag the divider on any frame to walk the surface from its incoming state to the finish we delivered. Substrates, dwell time and recipe are noted underneath each one.

What the gallery shows

  • Raw, unedited site photography under matched lighting - no retouching, no compositing.
  • Pairs are framed identically; the divider on each frame is a true overlay, not a stitch.
  • Each entry lists substrate, laser power band and the time spent on the visible area.

CASE 01 · RUST & CORROSION

Heavy red rust on outdoor steel

Pitted oxide layer lifted in overlapping passes, leaving a bare, profiled surface ready to re-coat. No media to recover, no run-off to collect.

What we treat

Six material families, one beam

The recipe changes for every substrate - wavelength stays the same, but fluence, pulse width and scanner pattern are re-tuned per job. These are the families we run most weeks.
01

Carbon steel

Flash rust through to deep pitted corrosion. Recovered to a profile suitable for re-coating.

02

Stainless

Weld heat-tint, brush marks and process discolouration cleared without etching the passive layer.

03

Aluminium

Anodising preserved or stripped on demand. Powder coats and adhesion primers lifted layer-selectively.

04

Cast iron

Engine blocks, moulds, ornament. Carbon deposits and old paint removed with no graphite smearing.

05

Stone & brick

Soot crusts and biological growth removed from façades under heritage-office briefs.

06

Hardwood

Smoke residue, old varnish and weathering removed without sanding the grain or losing tooling marks.

How a result becomes a result

A photograph is not a finish

A good before/after photograph is the cover of the job, not the job itself. Behind every pair on this page sits a written record: the substrate identified, the recipe locked in, the witness area approved, the working area metered, the finish inspected against the brief.

For controlled environments - pharma, food, heritage - we attach that record to the delivery note. For routine industrial work it stays on file. Same camera angle, same lighting, same crop on every pair - so what you are comparing is the surface, not the photographer.

If you want the underlying numbers for a job on this page, ask. We send the parameter sheet on request.
